Before Varia AI, Dev managed product development at a DTC skincare and beauty brand, building skin serums, cleansers and other skincare products tailored to different skin types and skin conditions. Earlier, he was a consultant at McKinsey, where he advised both emerging and established CPG brands on adapting to shifts in consumer behavior (e.g. social shopping). With deep expertise in CPG and a background in product development, Dev founded Varia AI to help brands deliver more thoughtful, personalized shopping experiences.

Before Varia AI, Benedict developed GenAI software for Fortune 500 enterprises, including AI-driven search engines and agentic automation tools for use cases across consumer, medical and industrial sectors. Earlier, he was a full stack engineer at HBO Max, delivering streaming & film recommendation software for large consumer audiences. Drawing on this background in building scalable, enterprise-grade systems, Benedict founded Varia AI to help CPG brands provide personalized product experiences for their customers.

A Letter from Our CEO
I've worked in product development long enough to see how often great products fail — not because they're poorly made, but because they never truly connected with the person buying them.
I built Varia AI because I believe we've been solving the wrong problem. We keep optimizing for conversion rates, copywriting formulas, and traffic — instead of fixing the most basic disconnect: most people don't see a version of a product that feels like it was made for them.
That insight came from years of building consumer brands, running tests, managing launches, and feeling that uncomfortable gap between what we think the customer wants… and what they actually resonate with. The tools were never fast or intelligent enough to bridge that gap. So I built one.
At its core, Varia AI turns every product into a portfolio of possibilities — each variant mapped to a real customer segment, motivation, or moment. It's a way to finally make personalization more than a buzzword — and to give every shopper a product page that speaks their language.
We're building for brands that care about clarity over gimmicks, that want to serve their customers better, and that are tired of guessing.
